Man dies after jumping off I-270 Overpass

A police situation on July 4, in which a man was threatening to jump off an overpass on I-270 between US-62 and I-71 has ended sadly with the death of a young man.

The man jumped after a standoff in which police attempted to talk him down. He has been transported to a local hospital in critical condition with life threatening injuries, he later died.

The man has been identified as 26-year-old Alan Frazier. Authorities say he was in emotional distress.

I-270 was closed for a significant time on July 4, due to the situation.
